The former Prime Minister of the UK - TONY BLAIR

I want to introduce to Tony Blair.I choose this subject because I think Blair is very important person for UK.He had been the leader of Labour Party before Gordon Brown, from 1994 to 2007 ,so that 13 years was long time for UK.Also, England made progress when Blair was Prime Minister.


Blair was born in Edinburg,which is the capital of Scotland.

I want to give some extra information about Blair’s life , the details could be unnecessary but I found its interesting.Blair’s father is Leo,who was illegitimated son of two English actors.Then,Leo adapted by Glasgow shipyar worker James Blair.İn addition,Blair’s mother,Hazel,was Protestan farmer’s daughter from Ireland.

Blair has four children who have Irish passport. Blair has 2 siblings who are Sarah and William.Blair’s father worked as a junior tax inspector and also studying law degree.Blair met her wife at Fettes College and Blair was not a successful student at school and was arrested as a burglar JWhile Blair was reading juisprudence in Oxford,he played guitar and was interested in rock music which has been very important for him until now.

*About Political Career :

When Blair was at university studying juisprudence,was involved in Labour party.At first Blair was unsuccesful at politic .For example when he was choosen as the candidate,he won only %10 :)

John Smith,who had been the leader of the Labour party before Blair,died suddenly.After Blairn became leader at Labour Party,was elected on July 1994 and resigned in 2007.When Blair was leader of Labour Party which adopted the “New Labour”.This term was involve human rights,freedom etc.

Blair alwasy supported the USA so in 2001 Irak was bad experience for British soldiers.


İt is said that ‘Supporting warm was the worst decision about his life.’Also Blair said that ‘ I think if you have faith about these things(about war) you realise that judgement is made by other people…’

In 2007,Blair resigned from prime minister of the UK. Gordon Brown, who was Blair’s close colleague, became prime minister of the UK.İn conclusion,Blair launched Foundation,which aims to increase childhood participation in sports and social activities.

İSTANBUL İS THE MOST İNSPİRİNG CİTY İN THE WORLD

We know that a lot of students come from own country to the UK or the USA.Studying and working are basic purposes and also this famous cities have a lot of chance to improv skill and language.The students pay a lot of many to learn English everyear but this cities have a lot of problem as well.The first thing if you want to get good result, you must pay a lot of money, and you shoul not forget that you can find a lot of students who are the sama nationality like you.In addition thıs situation is not good to improv English.

So, I can't recommend my city to learn English because our mother tongue is Tukish but if you want to do master's , doesnt matter it might be English or Turkish. I think İstanbul is suitable city.You can work as well.

İstanbul is not as expensive as London,also Turkish people is very outgoing and talkative.By the time you come İstanbul, you will have understand that what is the difference ? Whenever you want, we are waiting you . :=)

What am I doing at the moment ?

I asked to Laura approximately 5 questions about passive.I corrected my old blog's mistakes.In addition I asked 5 unknown word about lesson also I checked my mail box and facebook :)

When I was yonger...

This week, I want to write a story about my childhood.I think it was the biggest adventure in my whole life.

When I was yonger , I was on holiday with my parents to see different places to rest and to spend lovey time together.When I was 4 years old we had gone in Akcay.One day while my mother and father were shopping,my brother and I were playing football together,suddenly I saw somebody and I supposed that he would be my father and I wandered off but he wasn`t my father.That time was too late.I realised that I wouldn`t find my family.I had cried for 4 hours because I was alone and I did not know anybody.

My family had been starting to find me as soon as they could.In addition my mother was crying because it was the first time, I had been lost in my life also this situation was unexpected.Everbody had been shocked because of me.4 hours had passed but there was no result.

4 hours later somebody called me and asked me
" what is your name goodboy. ?"
I said "Edi"
"Why are you crying. ?"
" I can`t find my family."
"What is your father name ?"
"Huseyin"
" Ok don`t wory about it i am going to find your family trust me ok ?"

He was my father`s friend and really he found my family within 5 minutes :)It was very exciting day whole my life and i suppose that I will never forget this story.

Hi Laura I am Erdi

I am from Turkey, Istanbul. I think Istanbul is the most beautiful city in the world . :) I was born in Istanbul on 14 Sep 1988 so I am 21 years old.I graduated from Istanbul University in Bussines Administration last year and I decided that I must do a master's in the UK or Germany.Everybody knows that the UK is the most suitable country to study at university,and my other decision is Germany because my uncle and grandfather live in Germany so accommodation or other things won't be problem for me . :)

I have a brother. He is 26 years old.He graduated from university.He got married 3 years ago and he has a son.My nephew is 2 years old.He is the most important person for our family.

I came to London on 27 Sep.I have never been to London before and this is my first experience without my family so it is very hard for me.

First week was very hard for me because, different country,different culture...In addition English food is not suitable for my healt.Fish and chips...That's it :)

I must get a 6.5 on IELTS.It is significant for me. I believe that If I work harder, I will a get better score from IELTS.As soon as I get a 6.5, I will start a Master's .Unless I work, it is impossible.I suppose that Embassy and Laura will help me to get this score... :)
